CAT Exam Pattern:
CAT 2018 will be a computer-based exam, judging the candidates across three sections, namely, Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DI & LR), and Quantitative Ability (QA). The total test duration will be 3 hours, with a total of 100 questions, while each section will have 34, 32, and 34 questions, respectively. There will be 3 Sections in CAT

Section C: Quantitative Ability (QA)
This section includes topics like: Geometry; Trigonometry; Probability; Number System- GCD, LCM, Divisibility, Base System, The Remainder Theorem; Permutation & Combination; Speed; Time and Distance; Profit and Loss; Logarithmic Equations; HCF and LCM; Ratio; Quadratic and Linear Equations; Functions; Coordinate Geometry; Algebra; Mensuration; Percentages; Progressions- Arithmetic Progressions, Geometric Progressions, Harmonic Progressions; Complex Numbers; Simple and Compound Interest; etc.
